Aso-Villa Demo Day (AVDD) Exhibition
On Friday, 02 Sept., 2016; the Ag DG NDE, DSSE, Myself, Rakiya Omaki, and Nuru Ajana, were the team who attended the AVDD, Finalist Exhibition and Grants presentation to three (3) Winners (each presented with NGN 3million).
Amongst the 30 finalists remarkable start-up innovations were displayed during the exihibition, every with a good strategy of business survival and i often wondered where did all the talent come from, but i realize many work day and night.
The founder of facebook, Mark Zukerberg was marveled when all finalists were displayed, ideas mind-blowing and how young they were. it all came to one thing Nigeria is a Great Nation!!

CFTP 2015: "more than a developmental project"
CFTP 2015- more than a developmental project
....the Commercial Farming Training Project, 2015 has proved to be more than the conventional agricultural development projects.
using a baseline of crops with comparative advantage per State, needs analysis per community and presence of available farming technologies per geo-political region, the Project has survived and succeeded the 1st quarter of the Nigerian Economy Stagnation, 2016.
if the Market Gardening and Irrigation technology provided by the National Directorate of Employment has trained 25 persons on Commercial Vegetable Farming for the markets, then we all agree that the demand is up-most for vegetable in the dry, hot season around the Country.
also, if the demand for farm Broilers is to meet the demand of the 1st quarter of 2016, this would be a miracle, hence the choice for Commercial Broiler Production was not in vain.
this technique demonstrated by the Officers of the Rural Employment Promotion Dept, of the NDE demands full recognition and applause, as we carry out policies based on research and feedback mechanisms.
the beneficiaries at the end were fully resettled and hence began their projects ahead of the loan repayment periods, this is to enable them save enough for uncertainties in the future and meet certain market demands related to festivals.
thanks.
